The Roaring 20s Festival and all that Jazz will be held throughout the Blue Mountains, Lithgow and Oberon region from 7 February to 22 February 2015, beginning with the Blue Mountains Charleston Challenge in the grounds of the Hydro Majestic Hotel at Medlow Bath.

Held at venues throughout the Region, events include 1920’s costumed balls, high teas, jazz performances, vintage couture fashion parades, vintage car picnic, Charleston Challenge, Ukulele Festival and the Highlands Steam Festival and lots more fun.

Blue Mountains Music Festival March 2015

The Blue Mountains Music Festival of Folk Roots and Blues is a three day festival of folk, roots and blues music, featuring selected artists from around the world and across Australia. In a variety of venues in Katoomba, see and hear world class musicians in an intimate and relaxed atmosphere that has been raved about by both performers and audiences.

All weekend the site is alive with the sounds of acoustic guitars, dobros, mandolins, fiddles, accordions, concertinas, bouzoukis, banjos, pianos, drums, percussion, flutes, pipes, whistles and voices. Food and craft stalls, the poet’s brunch, children’s entertainment and performance workshops fill out the on site atmosphere.

The festival precinct is a short stroll from Katoomba railway station and the buzzing strip of cafes, restaurants and shops that lead you down to the site.

2014 Leura Village Fair 11 & 12 October

Leura Village FairLeura’s favourite annual event, the Leura Village Fair is a colourful street market set amongst the blossoming cherry trees of the Leura Mall. It is always held the weekend (Saturday and Sunday) following the October Labour Day holiday. Over 140 stalls line the mall selling everything from handicrafts, vintage wares, fashion, home-made cosmetics and soaps to candles, woodworking, garden sculptures, night lights, fresh grown strawberries and more. In fact there is something for everyone!

Artists are invited to showcase their talents and local musicians add to the festival atmosphere. Street performers will mingle through the crowds providing great entertainment and there is always a good selection of food stalls to suits all tastes.

2014 Blue Mountains Winter Magic Festival 21 June

The Winter Magic Festival is a free, annual community event, celebrated around the Winter solstice in Katoomba in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales, Australia.

The Winter Solstice in 2014 is June 21st, 5:04am.

Winter Magic is the Blue Mountains highest profile and most anticipated annual event. The Blue Mountains is NSW inaugural City of the Arts and Katoomba is the heart of that city. It is the weekend when artists, musicians, dancers, drummers, choirs and community take over one of Australia’s most famous towns.

Leura Gardens Festival October 2013

The Leura Gardens Festival (Saturday 5th October to Sunday 13th October) provides a wonderful opportunity to visit the World Heritage listed Blue Mountains in Springtime.

You will enjoy visiting some of the best private spring gardens in picturesque Leura including the extensive National Trust property Everglades.

•Private gardens are only open to the public at this time of the year and many of the garden owners are on hand to give visitors tips and advice.

•A Festival nursery will be selling a wide range of exotics and native plants at great prices.

This house is just what we were looking for, we went to Zest on the first night and did the whole Scenic World, 3 Sisters thing on the Saturday, big day! After a few beers in the afternoon, we made dinner in the fantastic kitchen and the kids did the DVD selection and we had a lovely evening. Tremendous guys. Lovely big back garden, lovely comfy house., well done. We'll be back. You know what the people want.
